We are nearly there with the final total. It might sound daft, but it does take a while to get all the cash in & tie everything up. At the moment we are still waiting on some money coming in from corporate sponsors and some of the riders, but looks like we’ll crack the £10,000 mark which is cool. We still have a few T-shirts left if you want one just email

A new website will be up in the New Year with as many photos’ of the event as we can get, but in the meantime take a look at
Today (well the other day) came the official announcement out of France that Team Lapierre DH Powered By Saab Salomon has engaged World Cup legend David Vazquez to be their lead rider for their brand new team. The 28 year old Vazquez, who has won many titles in his career, will be joined by one of the youngest riders on the 2008 international circuit, Danny Hart of the UK, in his first year as a junior racer. Also named on the team is endurance downhiller Greg Doucende of France. The team will be operated by the newly formed Pure Agency in France.
19-year-old British downhill star Brendan Fairclough announced today that he has just signed a two-year deal with one of the most successful teams on the International Mountain Bike circuit, Team Monster Energy/Iron Horse. The signing of the former Honda Team G-Cross rider will see Brendan lining up alongside four time World Champion and defending World Cup Series Champion, Australian Sam Hill.
The Santa Cruz Syndicate is excited to welcome Greg Minnaar onto the Syndicate for the next two downhill racing seasons! We expect the addition of Minnaar to raise the bar even higher for the Syndicate and are eager to get the new Santa Cruz V-10 underneath him. Having Steve Peat, Nathan Rennie, and Josh Bryceland work and train together with Minnaar should elevate the playing field to new levels in the downhill arena.
So Steve Peat, Doug from Santa Cruz & Santa Cruz World Cup mechanic Rick
dropped by my house for a picnic last Thursday.
Also joining us was Farmer Jack & Jonnie Reeko. As well as getting a few
things dialled on my Nomad & DH bike I also learned that Santa Cruz had
produced some custom painted frames for both Peaty & Rennie for the World
Champs. Steve wouldn't spill the beans on how his frame looked so I thought
it must be a special pink number?
Anyway the frames were built up into bikes on Friday over at Andy Keffins
shop (NW MTB Centre) so we popped up-to Steve's late Saturday afternoon for
a peak. Doug talked us through the ideas behind each paint scheme & the
masking process.
I also spotted Factory Steve Peat Boxxers on both Peaty & Rennie's bikes,
but the photos came out pretty rubbish.
